Consumer Terms of Service and Conditions of Sale

Private and family use only

Last updated 24 September 2026

1 About us and these Terms

These Terms of Service and Conditions of Sale (the “Terms”) apply only to individual consumers buying or using our products and services for their own private, personal and family purposes. They cover our consumer website, physical products, digital resources, Happy Confident Club membership, family events and Beatrice. They do not cover school, educational-institution, organisational, business or professional use, whether paid or unpaid. Section 4 explains this boundary.

Best of Parenting Limited, trading as The Happy Confident Company, is the contracting seller and service provider under these Terms. Our company number is 08584841 and we are registered in England and Wales. References to “HCC”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Best of Parenting Limited.

Registered office: 727-729 High Road, London N12 0BP, United Kingdom.

Contact: contact@happyconfident.com

Please read the relevant consumer Privacy Policy, Returns Policy and cookie information alongside these Terms, and the Beatrice Privacy Policy when using Beatrice. Those privacy notices explain processing; they do not make acceptance of these Terms a substitute for any separate consent required by law. Product-specific consumer terms may supplement these Terms if disclosed before purchase, but cannot extend them to school, organisational or professional use or remove statutory rights.

2 When these Terms become binding

For purchases and paid memberships, a contract is formed when we accept your order or subscription. We will confirm acceptance and the details of your purchase by email. An automated acknowledgement of receipt is not acceptance unless it expressly says so.

For a free Happy Confident Club account, these Terms apply when we accept your registration and create your account. For invitation-only Beatrice access, they apply when you accept them and activate your access.

We will make these Terms available before you complete your purchase, registration or activation. Where an acceptance box is provided, you must actively accept these Terms before continuing. We will provide the applicable contract and cancellation information in a form you can save. Accepting these Terms does not by itself give consent to optional marketing, profiling, memory or processing of sensitive information that requires separate consent.

Simply browsing public pages on our website does not create an obligation to buy anything, but your use of the website remains subject to the website-use provisions of these Terms.

3 Who may buy products or create accounts

You must be aged 18 or over and legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order or create a Club or Beatrice account. Only adults may use Beatrice or complete its quizzes. Children do not have accounts, logins, private quiz links or independent access to Beatrice. A parent or carer completes any quiz about their child through their own adult account, as explained in section 11.2.

If you buy a physical product or use an appropriate family resource with a child, you are responsible for selecting age-appropriate materials, following product-specific guidance and warnings, and providing suitable adult support or supervision. This does not give the child permission to use an adult account or access Beatrice independently.

4 Private consumer and family use only

A consumer is an individual acting mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. These Terms govern only purchases and access offered for private, personal and family use. Consumers retain all statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. A teacher, clinician or other professional may use the consumer service in a private family capacity, but not in their professional role.

These Terms do not authorise use by or on behalf of a school, nursery, college, university, employer, charity, business or other organisation, or use in teaching, clinical, therapeutic, coaching, practitioner or other professional work, even if no fee is charged. Such use requires separate school or professional terms, any appropriate licence and separate privacy information. Contact us before seeking that access. A consumer purchase or subscription does not grant it.

5 Orders, prices and payment

Product descriptions, prices, subscription periods, delivery charges and any applicable taxes will be shown before you place an order. We will not add mandatory charges after the point at which the total price should have been made clear to you.

You are responsible for providing accurate billing, delivery and contact information. If you notice an error, please contact us as soon as possible.

We may refuse an order before acceptance for a genuine reason, such as product unavailability, an obvious pricing or description error, unauthorised payment, suspected fraud or a legal restriction. If a problem arises after we have accepted your order, we will contact you and explain the available options and your rights. We will not change the agreed price without your agreement. If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled item or service, without limiting any other rights you have.

Our consumer purchases, including Club Premium purchases, use Shopify checkout; subscriptions are managed through Recharge. Beatrice itself does not take payments or receive payment-card details. Available payment methods are displayed before you pay. We do not receive or store full card numbers and do not ask you to send them by email.

6 Physical products

This section applies to books, journals, cards, games and other physical products bought under these Terms for private, personal and family use.

We aim to display and describe products accurately. Minor differences in colour, print appearance, packaging or finish may occur where they do not materially change the product.

Unless we agree a different delivery period with you, we will deliver goods without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being made. Risk of loss or damage normally passes to you when you or a person you identify takes physical possession of the goods, subject to applicable consumer law.

If a parcel is delayed, lost or damaged in transit, contact us so that we can investigate and provide the remedy required by law.

Your statutory rights include the right to receive goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose. Nothing in these Terms or our Returns Policy limits those rights.

7 Changing your mind about physical goods

If you are a UK consumer who buys goods online, you will normally have the right to cancel the contract without giving a reason within 14 days after the day you, or a person you nominate, receives the goods.

To cancel, email contact@happyconfident.com or write to our registered office with a clear statement that you want to cancel, your name and order details. You may use the model cancellation form at the end of these Terms, but do not have to. Sending your cancellation before the deadline is sufficient; you do not need our prior approval.

If you tell us that you are cancelling within that period, you normally then have a further 14 days to return the goods. Contact us for the appropriate returns instructions. This does not extend or restrict your statutory right to cancel.

You may inspect goods as you reasonably would in a shop. We may make a deduction from a refund if handling beyond what is reasonably necessary has reduced the value of the goods, where the law allows us to do so.

For a change-of-mind return, you are responsible for the direct return cost only where we told you this before purchase. We meet reasonable return costs for faulty, damaged or incorrect goods where required by law. We refund the standard outbound delivery charge where the law requires it; any additional cost of a more expensive delivery option you chose is not normally refundable.

We will refund you using your original payment method without a refund fee. Unless we have offered to collect the goods, we may withhold the refund until we receive them or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier. We will refund without undue delay and within 14 days after that point. Where we have offered to collect the goods, we will refund within 14 days of being told of your cancellation. Any lawful deduction for diminished value will be explained.

Different rules apply to faulty goods. Your rights in relation to faulty, unsafe, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods are not limited to 14 days.

8 Product safety, age guidance and children’s products

Our physical products include resources intended for children and families. Please follow any age guidance, safety warning, supervision guidance and instructions shown on the product, packaging or product page.

Age guidance is intended to help families choose suitable materials, but every child is different and adults remain responsible for deciding whether a product is appropriate for their child.

Our educational and wellbeing resources are not medical devices and are not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, therapy or emergency support.

9 Digital content and online courses

Our digital resources include videos, recorded courses, toolkits, activities and other online materials. Individual courses and toolkits bought separately are unlocked in the Club after purchase and linked to the email address used for the purchase. These purchases are accessed online, rather than supplied as standalone downloads.

Digital content supplied under these Terms is for private, non-commercial use by you and your household. You may print family activities for your household where that is the intended use. These Terms do not permit classroom, school, group, client or professional use, or uploading, reselling or distributing the content to others. Any permitted school or professional access requires a separate agreement outside these Terms. Nothing here restricts use expressly permitted by law.

Digital content supplied for payment must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, in accordance with applicable consumer law.

For paid digital content supplied online, you normally have 14 days from the day after the contract is made to cancel. You lose this cancellation right once supply begins only if you have first expressly consented to supply during that period, acknowledged that you will lose the right to cancel and received the required confirmation. Accepting these Terms alone does not provide that consent. If those requirements have not been met, we will not treat access to the content as waiving your cancellation rights.

If a digital product is faulty or does not conform to the contract, your statutory rights may include repair, replacement or a price reduction. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

Separately purchased courses and toolkits remain available through your Club account for as long as that account exists, including after Premium membership ends. Sign in using the email associated with your purchase. Contact us if you need help recovering access or changing that email. Premium-only resources remain available while your subscription is active and until the end of the paid period after cancellation. Deleting your account removes access to purchases held in it, so contact us before requesting deletion if you need help understanding the consequences. This does not allow us to remove paid access unfairly or avoid any remedy due if we close an account or stop supplying purchased content. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

10 The Happy Confident Club

The Happy Confident Club is our digital family-support membership. It includes selected videos, activities, parenting resources, family connection experiences, articles, courses, webinars, Q&As and other materials. The exact features available depend on whether you have a Free or Premium membership and may be updated over time.

10.1 Account setup

A Club account is required to access member-only content. You must provide accurate registration information, take reasonable steps to keep your login details secure and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You are not responsible for a security failure for which we are responsible.

Each Club account is linked to one email address. There are no separate household profiles or child Club logins. You may use appropriate family resources together with your household, but membership does not include additional adult accounts or separate household credentials. Keep control of your adult account and do not give a child independent access. You must not share access outside your household or use it for a school, organisation, client group or professional activity.

10.2 Free Club membership

Free membership has no recurring subscription fee. It gives registered members access to a selection of Club content and features that we designate as free from time to time.

Beatrice is currently available only through invite-only testing. Free Club membership does not currently include a general entitlement to daily Beatrice access. Any future allowance will be stated clearly when the feature becomes available.

We may add, remove or change free content and free features. Where a free service is withdrawn, we are not required to continue it indefinitely, but any personal information associated with the account will continue to be handled in accordance with the applicable privacy notice and retention rules.

10.3 Premium Club membership

Premium membership is a paid subscription. The subscription options, price and billing period will be displayed before you subscribe. Our current consumer plans include quarterly and annual billing options.

Premium members receive the Premium Club content and features described for their plan before purchase. Beatrice is currently in invite-only testing and is not yet supplied as a differentiated Premium membership benefit.

If Beatrice becomes a Premium benefit, its availability and any applicable usage restrictions will be clearly explained before you subscribe. We will not describe access as unlimited if restrictions prevent normal personal and family use.

10.4 Club content and feature changes

We may update the Club by adding, replacing or retiring individual resources, experts, events, activities or features. This allows us to improve the service and keep resources current.

We will not make a material change that substantially reduces the core value of a paid membership during a paid billing period without a legitimate reason, such as a legal or security requirement or loss of rights to particular content. Where reasonably possible, we will give advance notice. If a change materially disadvantages you, we will explain any replacement offered and your right to end the affected service and receive an appropriate refund for the part no longer supplied. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Specific experts, webinars, resources or live events are not guaranteed to remain available indefinitely unless expressly stated.

10.5 Live webinars, questions and answers and expert sessions

Club events and Q&As provide general educational and parenting guidance. They are not individual clinical, medical, psychological, legal or therapeutic services. Experts may not have enough information to give advice specific to an individual child or family.

We use Zoom for live events and may record selected sessions for members. The event notice will explain whether your name, voice, video or question could be included and how to participate without contributing identifiable material where that option is available. We handle recordings and participant information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10.6 Premium subscription renewal and cancellation

Premium subscriptions automatically renew for the billing period shown when you subscribe unless you cancel before the next renewal.

You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewal charges. Unless you exercise a statutory or contractual right to an earlier refund, Premium access continues until the end of the paid billing period and the account then moves to Free membership rather than being automatically deleted.

To stop future renewals, open your Club profile and select “Cancel subscription”. This cancellation takes effect immediately through Recharge, while Premium access continues until the end of the paid period unless an earlier refund or termination applies. You can also contact contact@happyconfident.com for help or to tell us you want to cancel.

We will give advance notice of material price increases affecting a future renewal and give you the opportunity to cancel before the new price is charged.

Renewal reminders are sent through Recharge. We will provide any reminders, cooling-off rights and cancellation arrangements required by the law applicable to your subscription.

For a service contract bought online, you normally have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days from the day after the contract is made. If you expressly request that a service starts during this period, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied before cancellation where the legal requirements are met. The right is lost on full performance only where the required express request and acknowledgement have been given. Digital-content cancellation is addressed in section 9; merely logging into the Club does not waive all cancellation rights.

To exercise a statutory cancellation right, email contact@happyconfident.com with a clear statement and your order details. Where a statutory cancellation refund is due for a service or digital content, we will make it within the period required by law, normally within 14 days of being informed, using your original payment method without a refund fee. This is separate from stopping future subscription renewals.

10.7 Money-back guarantees

Where your purchase is advertised with a 30-day money-back guarantee, that guarantee forms part of your purchase. The offer shown before payment determines which purchase it covers. We will not apply eligibility restrictions that were not made clear to you before you bought.

To claim a 30-day guarantee, email contact@happyconfident.com within 30 calendar days of the purchase covered by the offer, with your name and order details. We will process a valid claim in accordance with that offer, cancel the covered paid subscription and refund the covered payment to the original payment method.

You do not have to give a reason to claim a guarantee advertised as no-quibble. Any invitation to provide feedback is optional.

After a guarantee refund, your paid membership will normally revert to Free membership. Account and personal data will not be automatically destroyed merely because the paid subscription ends; data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any valid deletion request.

The guarantee is separate from, and does not reduce, any statutory rights you may have.

10.8 Downgrading, rejoining and account deletion

Cancelling Premium membership does not delete your Club account. Your account remains, Premium access ends at the end of the paid period and you retain access to Free content and separately purchased courses and toolkits. Cancelling or downgrading Club membership does not itself delete your Beatrice data.

If you later upgrade again, the Premium features available at that time will apply.

To request Club account deletion, contact contact@happyconfident.com. There is currently no self-service Club account-deletion option. Cancelling Premium, deleting a Club account and deleting Beatrice information are separate actions. Beatrice offers the controls described in section 11.4; using them does not delete your Club account or cancel Premium. Tell us if your request covers more than one service so that we can address each part, subject to applicable privacy rights and lawful retention.

11 Beatrice Happiness and Confidence Coach

Beatrice is our AI-enabled Happiness and Confidence Coach for private personal and family support within the Happy Confident Club ecosystem. It is intended to help adults explore everyday family situations and find relevant guidance, videos, activities and resources. It is not a service for schools, professional practice, client work or organisational use.

Beatrice uses family information, quiz answers, inferred profiles and relevant previous interactions to personalise language, suggestions and resources. The Beatrice Privacy Policy explains profiling, remembered information and the choices and rights that apply. Accepting these Terms does not itself provide consent for optional profiling, memory or processing of sensitive information.

11.1 Availability and membership access

Beatrice is currently available by invitation for testing. It does not currently have different guest, Free and Premium usage allowances. An invitation to test Beatrice is separate from a Club subscription and does not promise permanent access.

If we introduce wider access or membership-based allowances, we will explain the access requirements, usage allowances and any price before you sign up or buy. Those future features are not included in an existing membership unless expressly stated in your offer.

Beatrice may recommend or surface Free Club resources, Premium Club resources and separately paid products or digital resources. If you choose to access a paid or member-only resource, you may be asked to create an account, upgrade your membership or make a separate purchase before access is granted.

11.2 Adult use and family information

Beatrice is for adults aged 18 and over only. There are no child accounts, child logins or independent quiz links. All chat messages and quiz answers must be submitted by the adult account holder. Parents and carers may provide information about their children and complete quizzes about them through their own adult account. Children must not access Beatrice or complete quizzes independently.

The Beatrice Privacy Policy explains how information supplied by adults, quiz answers and reports are used. Family members, including children, have their own privacy rights. Holding an adult account does not give unlimited permission to share or authorise the use of another person’s information. Any required privacy consent is separate from accepting these Terms.

11.3 Educational support, not clinical or emergency care

Beatrice and our other Club resources are educational and parenting-support tools. They do not diagnose conditions, provide medical treatment, replace therapy, create a clinician-patient relationship or provide emergency or safeguarding services.

Artificial-intelligence systems can sometimes produce incomplete, inappropriate or inaccurate responses. You should use your own judgement and seek appropriately qualified professional support where a situation requires medical, psychological, legal, safeguarding or other specialist advice.

If you or a child is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical or mental-health support, contact the appropriate emergency or professional service rather than relying on Beatrice.

Beatrice uses automated safety screening and may display fixed UK support information instead of its usual reply. It does not provide real-time human monitoring, automatically notify emergency or safeguarding services or arrange help. Staff may review recorded events afterwards; you must not rely on this as a promise of intervention.

11.4 Privacy and Beatrice

The Beatrice Privacy Policy explains how we process information about you and your family in this private-use service, including quiz answers, profiles, remembered context, safety records and conversations. It identifies the AI and technical providers, staff review and service improvement, retention and deletion, international processing, lawful bases and individual rights.

Please read the Beatrice Privacy Policy before use. Other family members, including children, have their own privacy rights. Only provide information about another person where appropriate, avoid unnecessary identifying or sensitive details and do not upload pupil, client, patient or other records obtained through a school or professional role.

Our consumer HCC privacy information separately covers Club accounts, ecommerce and general consumer website information. The Beatrice policy does not replace it. Separate school and professional arrangements require their own privacy information; neither these Terms nor the Beatrice private-use notice authorises that use.

Within Beatrice, you can delete a single conversation or select “Delete everything Beatrice knows about me”. The latter removes conversations, quiz answers and reports, remembered notes and feedback from the live Beatrice service. It does not remove every related record: conversation metadata, safety event categories and dates, and separately retained edited example answers remain. Live-service deletion does not guarantee immediate removal of every provider or backup copy. The Beatrice Privacy Policy explains these limits and how to request further access or erasure. Beatrice deletion does not delete your Club account or cancel Premium.

11.5 Acceptable use of Beatrice

You must not use Beatrice to:

  • break the law or encourage unlawful activity;
  • upload malicious code or interfere with the security or operation of the service;
  • attempt to extract, scrape, reverse engineer or systematically copy Beatrice, our prompts, models, resource library or other proprietary systems except where the law expressly allows;
  • use Beatrice for school, organisational, client or professional purposes, resell access or provide it as a commercial service;
  • impersonate another person or deliberately provide another person’s sensitive information without a legitimate reason;
  • use the service to generate abusive, exploitative, sexual or otherwise harmful content involving children; or
  • circumvent usage limits, security controls or account restrictions.

We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, children, our systems, other customers or our legal obligations. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and give a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

12 Intellectual property and permitted use

The website, Happy Confident Club, Beatrice, HCC methodologies, Core Intelligence, videos, activities, text, graphics, downloadable resources, course materials and other content are owned by us or used under licence and are protected by intellectual-property law.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use content you lawfully access for your own private household and family purposes, subject to these Terms and any applicable consumer product-specific conditions.

You may not sell, sublicense, upload, publicly display, broadcast, share with an organisation, reproduce in bulk, train another AI system on, or commercially exploit our content without permission, except where the law expressly permits.

No school, organisational or professional licence is granted by these Terms. Any such use requires a separate agreement and appropriate licence outside the consumer service.

13 Reviews, testimonials and feedback

We may invite customers to provide product or service reviews, including through our review and marketing technology provider, currently Klaviyo.

If you submit a review, it must reflect your genuine experience. You must not submit a fake review, impersonate another customer, or conceal an incentive or commercial relationship that should be disclosed.

If we offer an incentive for a review, we will not require the review to be positive and the incentive must be disclosed where required.

By submitting a review or testimonial for publication, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and format it for our websites and marketing, subject to your privacy rights and any permissions relating to photographs, children or other identifiable people.

We may moderate or remove reviews for legitimate reasons such as illegality, abuse, personal data, irrelevance, duplication, fake-review concerns or breach of these Terms. We will not suppress a genuine negative review merely because it is critical of us.

14 Questions, comments and other submissions

If you submit a question for a webinar, Q&A or Beatrice interaction, or send suggestions or feedback, you retain any rights you have in your original material and allow us to use it as reasonably necessary to receive, respond to and operate the requested service. This permission is not a blanket licence to reuse private family information or a substitute for a lawful basis or any specific consent required for personal-data processing.

We do not treat private Beatrice conversations as public submissions or testimonials. Beatrice conversations may currently be reviewed by HCC staff, and edited example answers are retained separately for service improvement, as explained in the Beatrice Privacy Policy. This is distinct from model training. Any use of personal information must comply with the applicable privacy notice, legal basis and permissions.

If we would like to use a customer story, review, photograph, video, child contribution or identifiable quote for marketing or research beyond the ordinary service, we will obtain the permissions required by law and our policies.

15 Third-party services and links

We use third-party technology and service providers to operate our websites, checkout, accounts, communications, analytics, hosting, content delivery, payments, reviews and digital services. Some pages may also link to external websites or resources.

A link to a third-party website does not mean that we control that website. Third parties may have their own terms and privacy notices.

We remain responsible for our own obligations to you and do not use third-party suppliers to remove statutory consumer rights.

The relevant privacy and cookie notices identify providers and explain their data-protection roles. Providers may act as processors or have their own responsibilities, depending on the service. We do not assume that every external video, font or other provider acts only on our behalf.

16 Website and service availability

We aim to keep our websites, Club and Beatrice available and working properly, but online services sometimes require maintenance or may be affected by outages, security incidents or events outside reasonable control.

We do not promise that a free website feature will always be available without interruption. For paid services, we will provide the service with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the description and statutory rights that apply to your purchase.

If a significant interruption means we do not provide a paid service as agreed, you may have statutory or contractual remedies. Nothing in these Terms removes those rights.

17 Privacy, cookies and communications

Our consumer HCC privacy information covers ecommerce, consumer website use and Club accounts. The Beatrice Privacy Policy covers Beatrice for private personal and family use, including information about participating family members. Cookie and browser-storage information explains relevant storage and embedded services. School and professional services require separate terms and privacy information outside this consumer service.

Beatrice does not currently send marketing or pass chat, profile or other Beatrice information to Klaviyo or advertising and marketing systems. Any separate consumer HCC or Club marketing is governed by the relevant privacy information and your applicable preferences. You can unsubscribe from marketing using the method provided. Necessary service communications may still be sent.

18 Parenting, wellbeing and expert-content disclaimer

Our books, physical resources, digital activities, videos, webinars, Club materials, experts and Beatrice are intended to provide general education, family support and practical ideas.

Families and children are individual. A resource or suggestion may not be suitable for every child, circumstance or need. Nothing in our materials is a promise of a particular educational, emotional, medical or behavioural outcome unless we expressly state a specific contractual guarantee.

Where professional, clinical, medical, therapeutic, safeguarding or emergency assessment is appropriate, you should seek suitably qualified support.

19 Our responsibility to consumers

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.

These products and consumer memberships are supplied for private personal and family use only. No school, business or professional service is supplied under this contract. Subject to the protections above, we are not responsible under this consumer contract for losses arising from business or professional use, such as lost profit or business opportunity.

You remain responsible for decisions you make using general educational or parenting information, but this does not remove any responsibility we have where the law says we are liable.

20 Suspension and termination

You may stop using Free services at any time. You may cancel Premium membership in accordance with the subscription section above.

We may suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because of a material breach of these Terms, fraud, unlawful activity, abuse, child-safety concerns, security threats, non-payment or serious misuse of our services.

Except where immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety, security, fraud or legal reasons, we will normally give reasonable notice or an opportunity to resolve a remediable issue before permanently terminating a paid service.

If we permanently discontinue a paid service during a period for which you have already paid and no equivalent service is provided, we will provide any refund or other remedy required by the contract and applicable law.

21 Complaints

If you are unhappy with a product or service, please contact us at contact@happyconfident.com so that we can try to resolve the issue.

For a complaint about personal information, contact the same email address. We will acknowledge a data-protection complaint within 30 days, investigate it and communicate the outcome without undue delay. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ without obtaining our permission. See the relevant privacy notice for further information.

Nothing in our complaints process affects your statutory rights.

22 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, regulation, our products or the way we operate.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights you already have under an existing paid contract. If a material change affects an ongoing paid subscription, we will give reasonable advance notice where possible and explain your options. If you do not accept a material change that disadvantages you, you may end the affected service before it takes effect and receive any refund due for the unused part of a paid period. Changes required by law may take effect sooner where necessary.

The version in force when you place an order will apply to that order, subject to any later change required by law or agreed with you.

23 Governing law and courts

These Terms and contracts between us are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you also retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you and may use any court that consumer law allows you to use. Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive a consumer of mandatory rights available in their home jurisdiction.
